Our Story
The South 40 Net was established on January 17th, 2026, to provide a nightly amateur radio net centered on fellowship among licensed operators while also helping strengthen operator competence and net procedure skills on VHF. The net connects operators through linked repeaters and utilizes AllStar technology to support reliable wide-area communications. The net meets each night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on node 669400, and everyone is always welcome to check in. It continues to grow with a focus on expanding participation as well as increasing the number of repeaters linked into the system. In addition to being a nightly net, the South 40 Net also functions as a club open to all licensed amateur radio operators. Membership can be requested during regular check-ins. A dedicated team helps keep everything running smoothly, and new members are always welcome to get involved and help support its continued growth.
